Thank you for taking the time to learn more about
buying tickets from companies like ours and from other ticket brokers.
This information should be helpful to you in understanding the difference
in the price printed on your ticket and the actual market value that
you paid.

Market Value of Tickets
Much like you may “shop around” for a car or airline tickets
to get the best price, people often shop around for the best prices
on event tickets. Understandably, many first-time buyers from ticket
brokers are surprised to see a lower price printed on the ticket than
what they paid.
However, most people are not aware that the market determines prices;
if supply is greater than the demand, ticket prices rise. Likewise,
if demand is low, the price extended to you may be less than what
is printed on the actual ticket or even what we paid to obtain them.
Weekend events, popular visiting teams, any kind of championship,
opening nights, legends returning to the stage, etc. will generally
cost more due to greater demand.

Cost
of Business
At ASCTicket.com, we strive to keep our prices competitive with the
market. In some cases, we may have purchased certain tickets at very
high prices, which is why the price you see on our listings may also
seem high. Keep in mind that your ticket may have passed through several
hands before they received it. In other words, entity A bought at
face value and sold to entity B for a price above face value; entity
B sold to entity C for an even higher price, and so forth. Therefore,
the total dollar profit is actually distributed among several entities.
In other words, our company paid a price higher than the price shown
on the ticket in order to make it available to our clients.
Like any other business, in addition to the cost
of obtaining premium inventory, we incur operating expenses to provide
a service to the public.

Smart Shopping
While we do specialize in hard-to-find tickets and tickets to sold-out
events, we also try to carry inventory to as many events around the
country to accommodate all of our customers’ tastes. Therefore,
some tickets we sell may still be available from the box office or
from less expensive outlets. As a consumer, it is always wise to take
the time to shop around. Many of our clients understand that they
may pay a premium for certain events through our company, but the
personalized service and fast delivery that we are proud to offer
is valuable to their needs. |
The ASCTicket.com Difference
We greatly value our customers and try to facilitate the ticket-buying
process as much as possible. For example, unlike most box office sales,
we offer free shipping on most orders and work personally with customers
whenever they have questions about seats they are interested in or
the venue they will be visiting. In addition, we actively scan the
available inventory – so, if we see an opportunity to upgrade
our clients’ seating, we are very happy to do so at no extra
charge to you. |
Why Buy From Ticket Brokers?
It is sometimes difficult to purchase good seats when they go on sale
to the public. Many have become frustrated with unsuccessful attempts
on the phone or dealing with the long lines of fans trying to get
the best seats. Many fans don't even know that the tickets have gone
on sale until it is too late. It is for
these reasons that the need for ticket brokers has grown. Ticket
brokers buy and sell tickets on the open market.

Ticket Brokers Can Offer:
- Personalized service
- You can choose your seat location
- You can see on a map where your seat will be
- First 10 rows are usually available
- Delivery to your home or office
- No more waiting in line just to be disappointed
- Major credit cards are accepted
- Nationwide availability
- Tickets to "sold out" shows are still
available
Much like the stock market influences stockbrokers,
the ticket market influences the buying and selling prices for ticket
brokers. Better seats can be more expensive to obtain, and when
the supply of tickets is high the prices will decline. For some
events prices can change constantly.
It is always a good idea to buy from a company that
you can trust. With ASCTicket.com, your seats are guaranteed to
be valid and our goal is to provide you with superior service.

Buying From A Box Office
Some tickets can be purchased directly through the venue box office
or contracted ticketing agents.
This is generally the least expensive way to purchase
tickets. Tickets are usually sold at face value plus a ticketing
service charge. These are the prices that are usually printed directly
on the tickets. Most accept cash only at the walk up agents.
The promoter generally issues a press release to
inform the public when the tickets are going on sale. At that time
you can try calling on the phone or going to a local outlet to buy
them. Sometimes a lottery system is used to determine your position
in line for purchasing tickets if it is a popular event. Generally
all of the tickets are released at one time and the best seats are
sold first. Many of the most popular events are sold out in a matter
of minutes. Other events will not sell out and tickets will remain
on sale until they are all sold. For many of the events it is considered
luck if you get good seats or whether you can purchase tickets at
all.
